Unity
Nobody wins alone.
We defend together, celebrate together and pick each other up after a loss. The player on the bench matters as much as the player with the ball.

Johannesburg · Girls' and boys' basketball
Joburg Warriors uses basketball to change lives. We build young players who show up for each other, carry themselves with honour and refuse to quit when the score turns.
Talent opens the door. The code decides who walks through it.
Nobody wins alone.
We defend together, celebrate together and pick each other up after a loss. The player on the bench matters as much as the player with the ball.

Win right. Lose right. Learn every time.
Respect for coaches, referees, opponents and parents is not optional. We shake hands after every game, whatever the scoreboard says.

The fourth quarter belongs to us.
Skill gets you on court. Will keeps you there. We train young people to push through fatigue, doubt and pressure, on the court and long after the final whistle.

Made in
Joburg

Joburg Warriors Basketball Club exists for one reason: to use the game to change lives and empower future generations. Every drill, every tournament and every huddle is a chance to grow confident, disciplined young people.
Our players come from different schools, suburbs and backgrounds. On court, they wear the same gold and fight for the same thing.
“Using basketball to change lives and empower future generations.”
Structured coaching for girls and boys who want to play, improve and belong. Beginners are welcome. Effort is required.

Fierce. Fearless. Together.
Our girls' teams compete in tournaments across Johannesburg, backed by coaches who push hard and care harder.

Built for pressure.
Fundamentals, fitness and game intelligence for boys ready to test themselves against strong opposition, from morning tip off to night games under the lights.

Where the work gets done.
Focused training on footwork, shooting, ball handling and decision making. The ideal starting point for new players and a sharpening stone for experienced ones.
Tournament mornings, golden hour line ups and night games under the lights. This is what Warrior basketball looks like.

Our coaches teach the game properly: spacing, defence, footwork and discipline. Standards are high because we believe in what our players can become.
They also know every player by name, ask how school is going and notice when someone needs a word of encouragement. That is the difference between a team and a family.
“We are not only building better players. We are building leaders for Joburg.”
Handing your child to a club is a big decision. Here is what you can expect from every Warriors coach, every week.
Structured training with clear goals, not just a ball and a whistle.
Standards of conduct that apply to players, coaches and spectators alike.
The people teaching discipline show it first, every single session.
You will know how your child is growing, and where they can grow next.
Questions parents ask first
No. We welcome beginners and experienced players. Coaches place each player where they can learn and compete with confidence.
We coach youth squads for girls and boys. Send an enquiry with your child's age and we will confirm the right group.
We train on indoor and outdoor courts in Johannesburg. Current venues and times are shared when you enquire, so you always get the latest schedule.
Fees depend on the squad and the season. Ask us for the current fee structure and we will take you through it.
Basketball shoes, comfortable training kit, a water bottle and a willing attitude. Jersey details are shared once your child joins.

Partners keep talent on the court instead of on the sideline. Your support turns entry fees, kit and travel from obstacles into opportunities, and puts your name beside a club that stands for something.
